Knezevic is a Brooklyn-Based Actor, Musician, Composer, Music Producer
and Audio Engineer. A recent graduate of Pace University, he holds a BFA
in Acting, and also received compositional training there. Alex’s most
recent stage appearance was “Dark of the Moon” at the Schimmel Center, where
he played the role of Jenkins, arranged and directed music, and played banjo,
guitar, and cajon for. Alex also plays the electric bass, piano, ukulele,
and various percussion instruments.
Alex
has two full length musicals in the works. The first is Murder Pass, a
satirical slasher-comedy that tackles toxic masculinity, which had its
first full reading in May of 2019 at The Tank. Alex wrote the music, while
sharing lyric duties with co-writer Chad Nowlan. Rewrites and future productions
for 2020 are currently in the works.
The
second musical is The Picher Project, a musical which tracks the rise,
boom, and fall of the now-abandoned mining town of Picher, OK. Alex co-writes
music with composer Lauren Pelaia, while Quentin Madia pens the book, and
all three contribute to lyrics. After traveling to the town in March 2019,
the writing team has produced cuts of the show at Dixon Place and Feinstein’s/54
Below, and hopes to produce a full industry reading next spring.
Alex
is also a freelance Music Producer/Audio Engineer. Since combining his
loves of technology and music in high school, Alex has been passionately
researching and learning over the years, and now works out of a studio
he’s created in his bedroom. The small format studio lends itself well to
Voiceover and ADR work for film, as well as singer-songwriters and musicians
who want to bring their songs to life. Previous ADR work includes Neither
(Morelia International Film Festival Selection, Daniel Mandoki and Justin
Giegerich), Gap Year (Justin Giegerich and Jessica Ryan), and The Meditater
(Cory Shanbom, Cassandra Pogensky, Justin Giegerich). Music Recording/Production
work includes Smolsky, YODER, JAMO, and Maria Andreoli, who can all be found
on Spotify and Apple Music.
