Bigelow was most recently
seen as a featured performer with Disney Cruise Lines "The Magic
Seven". She was seen in the workshop of a new musical by Benny and
Bjorn
of ABBA Kristina, going to Broadway in 2007, with Paul
Gemignani as
musical director. She sang the role of Arminy in the Carnegie
Hall
benefit concert of Carousel with Hugh Jackman, and Audra Mac
Donald. She was featured in Lincoln Center’s
spine-tingling
rendition of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeny Todd, a Tony nominated
recording,
starring Patti LuPone, and George Hearn. She made her recording
debut as
a featured artist in the recording of Sondheim’s The Frogs with
Nathan Lane
and
Brian Stokes Mitchell. Ms. Bigelow was a soloist in An
Evening of Kurt
Weil with Bebe Newirth, at Alice Tully Hall, NYC.
Ms. Bigelow delighted audiences as the Mistress in Sondheim’s rarely
performed Passion
at Dicapo Opera Theater in New
York City, while covering the role of
Clara. Her
comic sense is engaging in many roles in Gilbert and Sullivan’s most
reputable
operettas such as Kate in The Pirates of Penzance; Pitti
Sing in The
Mikado; and Gianetta in The Gondoliers to name a just a
few.
Her multifaceted interpretations of self-possessed characters,
unyielding to
stereotypes have come to life in such roles as Aldonza in The Man
of
LaMancha, Meg in Brigadoon, and Catherine in Pippin.
She reveled in the unusual demands of an operatic acrobat in the new
musical by
Tom Jones, and Harvey Schmidt, Mirette, at the Goodspeed Opera
House,
CT.
