Bethany James is a recent graduate of the BFA musical theater training program at the Hartt School. An actor/singer/dancer, Bethany has enjoyed such various title roles as Mary Flynn is Steven Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along, Julie Jordan in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel, and Claire de Loon in Leonard Bernstein's On the Town, and she was featured as Fred in Genesius at last year's Festival of New Artists at Goodspeed Musicals. Harboring a deep interest in physical comedy, Bethany completed her honors coursework in its study when she trained in Commedia dell’Arte under the tutorship of Henry Fonte in Prato, Italy. Newly planted in Manhattan, she is hitting the pavement, eager to bring her training to life.
