Originally from Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Marcy Richardson is an accomplished singing actor who holds her own on both the musical theater and operatic stage. She has been seen as Cunegonde (Candide) and Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance) with Orlando Opera, Cinderella (Into The Woods), Lili Vanessi (Kiss Me Kate) and Dream Laurey (Oklahoma!) with the Brevard Music Festival, where she was also dance captain and assistant choreographer, Princess Leonide (Triumph of Love), Angel City 4 Soprano (City of Angels), and Lady Thiang (The King and I) with Timber Lake Playhouse, Rosie (Cabaret) and tribe member (Hair) with the Waldron Performing Arts Center, featured soloist in “Let’s Fall in Love” (Cole Porter Review) with Baltimore Opera, The Watchman (Antigone) with Aguavá New Music Ensemble at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, ensemble (The Student Prince) with Central City Opera, and dancer/ensemble in On The Town and Once on this Island with Indiana University. She received her BM and MM in voice performance from Indiana University, where she also studied theater, ballet, and jazz. She continues to study dance at Alvin Ailey in New York City. 2/24/10
